Rx for PCs in NYC?

My laptop is infected with a virus, what Symantic AntiVirus identified as: “packed. generic.209” (or at least I think it was referring to name/ID of virus.)

Among other weird things, Internet Explorer windows are popping up and talking to me when IE is not running (it never is; I use Firefox).

Does anyone know of a good laptop/PC doctor in NYC?
