The MC and judges of the Soul Clap Dance-Off on Saturday night.
“Now I feel old,” M. said, moments after we walked in. “I remember the last time spinning old 45s in old warehouses was in — the early 90s.”
Okay, so I didn’t feel that old, but I definitely had half a decade on half the crowd.
To paraphrase one of the greatest teen movies of all time: honestly, I just don’t get how kids dress these days.  They put in a lot of effort to make themselves look more unattractive than they are.  For a girl who came of age in the era of Tom Ford and bling, their philosophy of awkward, ill-matched, unflattering, and downright uncomfortable-looking attire is as foreign as Euro-trash.
PS: I’m not talking about the MC. She looked cute. Which makes all the difference.
