Yeaaaaaaah mon.
“He’s not perfect. You aren’t either, and the two of you will never be perfect. But if he can make you laugh at least once, causes you to think twice, and if he admits to being human and making mistakes, hold on to him and give him the most you can. He isn’t going to quote poetry, he’s not thinking about you every moment, but he will give you a part of him that he knows you could break. Don’t hurt him, don’t change him, and don’t expect more than he can give. Don’t analyze. Smile when he makes you happy, yell when he makes you mad, and miss him when he’s not there. Love hard when there is love to be had. Because perfect guys don’t exist, but there’s always one guy that is perfect for you.”

BOB MARLEY SAID THIS?? Seriously you guys, the 323 of you who have reblogged that believe this sounds like something Bob would say?
Ummmmm, maybe I’m alone here - but this doesn’t sound like something he would say. ever. This sounds like something out of a 1999 chick flick monologue.
I’m going to have to pull my I DON’T THINK SO card out on this one. Bob Marley says things like “When you smoke the herb, it reveals you to yourself” or “Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery. None but ourselves can free our minds.” but I highly doubt he spent time doling out inspirational dating advice. Maybe this came from the latest Miley Cyrus flick or Charlotte said it to Carrie while riding camels in SITC 2, but Bob Marley - yeah right!
I could be wrong. but I bet I’m not.
Someone care to set me straight and show me proof that this came from his mouth? Please prove me wrong. please. Can not stop giggling.
Love,
M
HA! My exact reaction, Melissa. The only part I believe is “he’s not thinking about you every moment.” The man had 11 children by 7 wives, or is it 13 by 9 wives? Even the official Bob Marley website doesn’t know.
Update: the actual quote. Which does indeed sounds much more like it came from a great lover of the ladies.
