Remember when I posted a link to the 1,474 MP picture of the inauguration?

I just got a mass forwarded email from my grandma:

Subject: Fw: Incredible Photographic Capability

Whomever sent this out completely ignored the photographer’s explanation of his work, and is instead spreading the idea that it’s a “Google Earth pix” — I presume he means a satellite image.  He writes:

There’s no hiding from Big Brother now, be careful what you do outside now!

and

The technology is truly amazing- and it’s un-classified!  Imagine what our spy agencies can see with classified technology!!!

Now I feel like emailing every person in that chain to let them know — really, the Internet isn’t such a scary place.

You can fuck like bunnies outside for all that Google Earth cares.  (It’s Google Street View you should be concerned about.)
