Let us contemplate this. Here are four questions to make your brain hurt.
This reminds me of the following from the introduction of Ludwig Wittgenstein’s Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus, which could serve as one of those very useful rules on good writing: “What can be said at all can be said clearly, and what we cannot talk about we must pass over in silence.”
Perhaps this should be renamed Onan’s Day of Patient Self-Love, in honor of Karl Marx:
“Philosophy is to the real world as masturbation is to sex.”
I know what I’ll be doing tonight!
