We were mindlessly speculating about this very thing as we sped down the winding highways of northeast PA yesterday afternoon.
But my exhausted, anxious mind couldn’t even begin to calculate the relative worth or power of a vote. I decided that every vote ultimately “counts” equally because even in non-swing states, if people didn’t cast votes as expected, then the resolution would be different, and suddenly their votes would have mattered a great deal. Also, and, electoral votes are supposed to be distributed according to population, but then again, it’s all about turnout…. (I started sounding a bit like Palin.)
Anyway.
The Princeton Election Consortium actually uses logic and math and shit to figure it out. I guess if you’re into that kind of thing….
