She’s got the touch

I just came from a facial by the incomparable Lulu of Scientifica Skincare in Soho.  I hadn’t been to see her in quite some time.  When my friends asked me what I wanted for my birthday, I said, “Lulu time!”  They obliged, and it was great to be back in her chic and serene space.

Last year, Tracy Piper, who gives the city’s best colonics at the M.A.R.C. Holistic Center, recommended I see her friend Lulu.  And the moment I met her, I knew why: she’s lovely and funny and made me instantly comfortable.  She gives the best facials I’ve ever had, drawing on her deep understanding of skin and delicate touch (even during painful extractions!), as well as cutting-edge techy tools and Scientifica’s great all-natural skincare line.  I’m always afraid Vogue or New York will write her up and I won’t be able to get an appointment ‘til next year (though of course I’d be happy for her).

I can’t recommend her enough.  If you go see Lulu, tell her I sent you.  She’d get a kick out of that.
