I’m disappointed that I can’t join Andrea for the White House Redux opening party tonight.
It’s an international contest co-sponsored by the Storefront for Art and Architecture and Control Group, where my friend Max consults with clients who want exceedingly complicated and interesting technology systems installed in their museums, organic farms, financial headquarters, etc.
The mission statement [of the contest] was “What if the White House, the ultimate architectural symbol of political power, were to be designed today?”
Jane had the witty idea that it be cast in glass — total transparency.
Perhaps, when she returns from an extended trip to her hometown of Kansas City, she’ll accompany me to see the exhibit, which will be at the Storefront through October.
