Dad, your initial enthusiasm and frankly adorable disappointment in this (otherwise pointless) video is one of the many reasons why I love you. (And now that I’m all growed up it’s not embarrassing in the least that the t-shirt you’re wearing is from our trip to NOLA — 12 years ago.)
I was going to write something about remarkable things that happened on July 25, 1950, but it turns out not much of note took place. Except, of course, the man who would invent the concept of dot.com.munism was born; the people rejoiced and the fascists cowered.
Happy Birthday, God Dad. You’ve taught me everything I know about digging in and never tuning out. You’re the best.
Love,
Nora
