
There is no longer any doubt as to whether the current administration has committed war crimes. The only question that remains to be answered is whether those who ordered the use of torture will be held to account.
Retired General Antonio Taguba, the officer who led the Army’s investigation into Abu Ghraib, in the preface to a new report, “Broken Laws, Broken Lives,” commissioned by Physicians for Human Rights.
The report “provides first-hand accounts and medical evidence of torture and cruel, inhuman, or degrading treatment … of eleven former detainees who were held in US custody overseas.”
