Cloud Cult - Journey of the Featherless

This song is gorgeous. It gets better with each listen.

Yes! This was the unofficial theme of our camping trip last month. (“Don’t call me on my cell phone ‘cause there ain’t no reception where I’m goin.”)

Cloud Cult is a very interesting band, and yet another musician/artist making me reconsider my vow to never move back to the Twin Cities.  I first discovered them on The Current.

Many of their songs deal with the death of the lead singer/songwriter’s two-year-old child; they live an “eco-friendly lifestyle”; as a group, they disperse and re-form periodically, not unlike clouds.  They are said to be excellent live.

I need to see them and Fleet Foxes, in concert, stat.
