Our meal is free to any members of Division 194. We have thirty nine employees, all riding Jitneys to help win the strike. We are with you till h—l freezes, and when it does, we will furnish blankets to keep you warm.

Bennies and Clovis Martin, brother proprietors of a coffee stand and restaurant in the French Quarter, stood in solidarity with streetcar worker strikers in 1929, and invented the po-boy, to boot.
