Here’s Looking At You, Kid
Wine comes in at the mouth
And love comes in at the eye;
That’s all we shall know for truth
Before we grow old and die. I lift the glass to my mouth,
I look at you, and I sigh.

Definitely my favorite anti-Semite, and the most fascinating person I studied at Trinity. I’m still obsessed by his bizarre inter-generational relationship with Maude Gonne and her daughter Iseult, who was conceived in a mauseleom in an attempt to reincarnate her late brother, and later went on to marry an Irish writer who spent way too much time with the Nazis.
