Seeing Eye
I just saw a woman on the street teaching a man to use his seeing eye dog. I think they’re the coolest (though I’m sort of intimidated by them - the dogs. Weird, I know.) I’ve never understood why, if you were blind, you WOULDN’T use a dog. People who choose to use the walking sticks must have their reasons, but it’s hard to imagine what they are. The companionship alone would do it for me (not to mention the security). But then, I’m kind of a sucker for companionship.
