Mr. President, most — if not virtually all — of the 65.5 million people who voted for you last month will stand behind you if you make a meaningful effort to control or outlaw assault rifles in the next four years.
Most of the 60.8 million people who voted for Romney will stand behind you, too.
Now is the time. We can do this.
