Didntcha know? Good Friday is Gumbo Day … we’re just finishing up with Lent a couple days early.
Here are the ingredients — loads of ‘em, but I’m making not one (oh no!) but TWO POTS O’ GUMBO. Our guest list jumped from 12 to nearly 40 seemingly overnight. So not to be outdone, I am rising to the occasion and makin (oh yes!) dualing gumbos: one with seafood & ham & everything, and the other with chicken & spciy andouille sausage.
My energy, enthusiasm, and big, hungry eyes are the crosses I must bear in this life. But as they’d say in NOLA, That’s alright, baby.
