The #Bin27Girls in action. Katarina and I collaborated on a grappa event for Evoe two years ago and we’ve been talking about doing something together ever since. One of her clients is Fonseca Bin 27, a ruby port that is a favorite of cocktail bartenders (and is good on its own, chilled). Bin 27 happens to pair marvelously with chocolate chip cookies, and they’re launching a cookie recipe contest, judged by Dorie Greenspan and Jacque Torres, this fall. So we came up with the concept of vintage cigarette girls bringing #portandcookies to the masses. (Clearly we were a hit.)
It was exhausting but incredibly fun. We got a lot of entries to our photo contest, we made a lot of people happy with port, we met gorgeous/adorable creatures like Cigar Chick and Rex the Yorkie puppy. Already planning how we can top it next year….
Sadly we lost that black and white Polaroid! Such gorgeous depth of field and shades of grey. Le sigh.
