Thought for Food

My friend Bill had but one request for his birthday: “Votemeal” cookies, oatmeal chocolate chip cookies with a spicy apple cider glaze that I made for the first time while we anxiously awaited returns last Nov. 4th. I promptly became addicted to ‘em, baking batch after batch that fall and winter. Until last night, I hadn’t made them in months. They’re even yummier than I remember.
