When I walked across the stage to accept my high school diploma, a bunch of my friends belted out the chorus of this song at the top of their lungs. (My grandma: “What was that those kids were singing, dear?”)
In my defense, this was a time when jeans were obnoxiously low and shirts were obnoxiously short.
