Handsome and clever? Think I’ll keep him. (Armed with just a water bottle and Swiss army knife, he made a wine glass — complete with stem — for our picnic near the Louvre on Wednesday. The rioja was terrific: a 2000 Viña Tondonia Reserva (sacrilege, perhaps, to drink Spanish wine in Paris but we’ve visited enough cathedrals lately that I’m sure the saints are on our side); the food: but of course; the company: the best!)
